Albion sweeps Attica in youth football

Albion swept past Attica Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action winning 14-0 in the Mini Division, 34-7 in the JV Division and 19-16 in the Varsity Division.

In the Mini Division game, Noah Harrison had 127 yards rushing including a 61 yard touchdown and 10 tackles on defense; Jayovanni Ostrander a 33 yard TD run and 6 tackles; Jonah Elsenheimer 15 yards receiving and Logan Kast 5 tackles.

In the JV Division contest, Makyell Walker had 195 yards rushing including three touchdowns on carries of 20, 52 and 52 yards and Kwame Riley had a 20 yard touchdown run and also a 6 yard TD reception from Nate Gibson.

On defense, William Farnsworth had 6 tackles while Jeremiah Bennett, Jared Ostrander and Jairo Chavez 5 tackles each.

In the Varsity Division, Shakarion Drisdom had a pair of touchdown runs; Sh’kwe Riley 84 yards rushing including a 39 yard TD carry and Jacob Hughson 40 yards rushing.

Defensively, Bryden McMurray had 8 tackles and a forced fumble, Hughson 7 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries, Drisdom 5 tackles and Xavier Byrd and Mark McCauley each had an interception.
