Albion Storm’s bats best Brockport

Pounding out 17 hits the Albion Storm rumbled past Brockport 17-7 Friday.

Leah Zastrow had a big hit down the right field line for a double and was 2-3 on the night. Alayna Keirn and Brooke Miller went 3-3, Ella Cole and Izzy D’Agostino went 2-2, Teagan Shaw, Gia Howard, Anna Gillette, Madison Blount and Katelyn Viza all singled.

Zastrow started on the mount and pitched the first two innings and D’Agostino came in to pitch the 3rd and 4th innings. They both had a strikeout and with good defensive help from their teammates allowed no hits.

Gillette had a heads up triple play in the 4th with the bases loaded, she snagged a fly ball playing shortstop then ran to step on third and tagged the runner out heading back to second. She finished the game in the circle n the 5th inning registering 2 strikeouts to end the game.

The Storm will be home on Tuesday against LeRoy Black.
