Albion Storm romps past Alden to go to 6-3

Improving to 6-3, the Albion Storm softball team posted a 25-5 victory over Alden Thursday evening.

Kait Bennett started on the mound and went three innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 3.

Anna Grillo came in to finish the last three innings and gave up 4 hits and had one strikeout.

Defensively, the Storm turned three double plays. Lilly Maynard lead the defense with Kait Bennett and Anna Gillette also making key plays.

Offensively Storm put up 22 hits. Every player got at least one hit.

Leading the way was Nathalia Coley going 4-4 with 4 singles to left field. Anna Grillo and Kait Bennett went 3-4 with 3 singles, and Meadow Smith went 2-3 with 2 singles. Melia Prince and Lilly Maynard both doubled and had multiple hits. Anna Gillette, Ava Woolston, Gia Howard, Loralei Gailie, Brooke Doty, And Lena Grillo all racked up a single.

The Storm takes on Pembroke at home on Tuesday.
