Albion splits with Barker in N-O track

Defending champion Albion improved to 2-0 by downing host Barker 101-34 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys track meet this afternoon.

Barker did get a split on the day by edging Albion 67-61 in the girls’ competition.

Cencere Lowe was a triple winner in the 100, Long Jump and Triple Jump for the Albion boys squad which also had a trio of double winners in Brian Spall (110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles), Jr. Morales (400, Pole Vault) and Brendan LeBaron (Shotput, Discus).

The Purple Eagles also had Kyle Kuehne take the 800, Ozzie Matos the 200 and Nick Harling the High Jump.

Mason Allee-Castro was a double winner for Barker in the 1600 and 3200.

In the girls’ meet, Miya Goodale doubled in the 100 Hurdles and Long Jump for Barker as did Abby Scanlan in the 100 and 200 and S’Koi Sanders in the 400 and Triple Jump for Albion.

The Purple Eagles also had Olivia Krenning win the 400 Hurdles and Gina Sidari the Pole Vault.
