Albion spikers to host sectional opener

Section VI Class B2 volleyball playoff competition will begin on Wednesday as No. 7 seed Albion hosts Niagara-Orleans League foe No. 10 Newfane at 6 p.m.
The Purple Eagles and Lady Panthers split a pair of 3-2 matches during the N-O season.
The victor will play at No. 2 Springville on Friday.
Medina, which is seeded No. 4 in Class B2, will host No. 5 Fredonia in a quarterfinal round match at 6 p.m. Friday.
Class C1 quarterfinal matches on Friday will have No. 4 Roy-Hart hosting No. 5 Lafayette and N-O champion No. 3 Akron entertaining No. 6 Southwestern both at 6 p.m.
In Class C2, No. 3 seed Wilson will host No. 6 Falconer in a quarterfinal match at 6 p.m. Friday.
Section V Playoffs
Section V pre quarterfinal matches on Thursday will have No. 10 Williamson at No. 7 Holley in Class C2 at 6 p.m.; No. 7 Lyndonville vs. No. 10 Dundee in Class D2 at HAC at 5:30 p.m. and No. 11 Hinsdale vs. No. 6 Kendall in Class D3 at Warsaw at 6:30 p.m.
