Albion spikers score win at Newfane

Improvng to 6-2, Albion scored a straight set 25-10, 25-10, 28-26 victory over host Newfane this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.

Chanyce Powell had 5 spiking kills, 5 blocks and 5 digs; Caitlynn Snook 4 kills, 4 service aces and 4 digs; Haley Smith 3 kills; Emilie Barleben 5 assists and 1 kills and Isabella Gibbs 5 digs and 1 ace to lead the way for the Purple Eagles.

The loss drops Newfane to 0-8.

In one other N-O match, front-running Akron (8-0) defeated Roy-Hart (4-4) 25-10, 25-20, 25-11.

Kendall 25-23-25-25, Lyndonville 19-25-14-20

Kendall downed host Lyndonville in four sets 25-1, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20 in a Genesee Region League match,.

Chelsea Wright had 14 digs, 6 kills, 5 assists and 4 aces; Emily Mattle 8 kills, 4 aces and 4 digs; Alexis Payton 7 kills and 7 digs; Madison Rath 10 digs and 5 kills and Jessica Cobb 14 assists, 4 aces and 4 digs for Kendall which improves to 8-4.

Kennedy Clark had 6 kills, 3 aces and 5 digs; Paige Gardner 2 kills, 11 assists and 3 digs and Hannah Despard 13 digs for Lyndonville which slips to 3-12.
