Albion spikers lock up N-O three-peat

On an emotional Senior Night, Albion put a lock on outright possession of a third straight Niagara-Orleans League volleyball championship with a straight set 25-17, 25-18, 25-6 victory over visiting Newfane this evening.

Chanyce Powell had 8 spiking kills, 6 digs, 5 service aces and 2 blocks; Meghan Hurley 7 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces and 10 assists; Kelsee Soule 5 kills, 16 digs and 3 aces and Aleah Foos 4 kills and 5 blocks to lead the way for the Purple Eagles.

Emilie Barleben, Sierra Newton and Caitlynn Snook also all contributed kills for the Purple Eagles while Kassidy Hastings, Newton and Snook all registered aces.

Albion improves to 11-0 in N-O action while Newfane slips to 3-7.The Purple Eagles have now coupled a 35-0 record to date over their three year N-O reign.

Albion closes out the N-O campaign at Wilson next Tuesday.


Medina 25-25-25
CSAT 12-20-14

Making it three league wins in a row, Medina romped to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-14 victory over host CSAT this evening in a Niagara-Orleans volleyball match.

Lexi Neuman had 8 service aces and 4 spiking kills, Alyssa Beyer 5 kills and 4 aces and Grace Masse 14 assists to lead the way for Medina which improves to 6-4 in N-O action.

Medina visits Holley for a non league match at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
