Albion spikers down Lyndonville

Regaining the .500 mark at 2-2, Albion bested visiting Lyndonville 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 in a non league volleyball match this evening.

Sierra Newton had 9 aces and 4 kills, Breanda Johnson 17 assists, 3 kills and 2 aces, Eowyn Pate 3 kills and Haley Smith 7 kills for Albion.

Hannah Despard had 18 digs and Alicia Hinkson 13 digs for Lyndonville.

Leading 18-16, Albion pulled away in the openning set as Smith had a kill for point 19 and then Logan Conlon served up points 20-23.

In the second set for Albion, Newton served up points 2-8 and Emani Poole 13-20 as Smith registered an ace for the set winning point.

The Purple Eagles next host their annual tournament on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.

Lyndonville’s Alicia Hinkson makes a return of service as Hannah Despard moves in.
