Albion spikers best Lyndonville

LYNDONVILLE – Albion bested Lyndonville 25-6, 25-22, 25-11 this evening in a non league volleyball match.

Setting the tone, Albion posted a quick 22-6 win in the first set as Jasmyn Smith served up points 6-9 including two aces, Chanyce Powell 11-14, Meghan Hurley 17-18 and Brooke Wilson 20-25 including four aces.

Julissa Curcie had 9 kills in the match for Albion as Emily Joslyn had 8 service points including 4 aces, Powell 11 kills, Sara Millspaugh 3 kills, Kelsee Soule 3 kills and Michaela Lake 6 points including 3 aces.

Kate Marke had 4 aces for Lyndonville.

Girls Soccer

Medina 3, CSAT 0
BUFFALO – Taylor Miller scored two goals and Kyla Leno one as Medina (2-2) blanked CSAT (0-4) 3-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League game.

Albion 7, Roy-Hart 1
GASPORT – Two goals by Kendall Piccirilli and one by Mariah Elsenheimer propelled Albion out to a 3-1 halftime advantage and the Purple Eagles went on to down Roy-Hart 7-1 this evening in N-O action.

Abby Squicciarini, Elsenheimer, Emily Blanchard and Ally Page then took turns scoring goals for Albion in the second half.

Albion improves to 3-1 and Roy-Hart slips to 1-3.

Wilson 3, Akron 1
WILSON – Holly Rudolph, Kayla Neumann and Loren Austin each scored a goal for Wilson (4-0) which takes over sole possession of the N-O lead with the key 3-1 victory over Akron (3-1).

Newfane 6, Barker 0
BARKER – Savannah Jonathan scored four goals to lead Newfane (3-1) past Barker (0-4) 6-0.

Boys Soccer

Kendall 3, Attica 1
ATTICA – Riley Igbal, Alex Sutphen and Deandre Nauden each scored a goal to lead Kendall past Attica 3-1 this afternoon as the Eagles improve to 3-0 in the Genesee Region League and 4-0 overall.

FANCHER – Connor Barleben took medalist honors with a 40, Dyer Benjovsky added a 47, John Krieger a 47 and Noah Preston a 49 to lead Albion (3-3) past Medina (3-3) in an N-O match this afternoon at Hickory Ridge.

Gsge Master led Medina with a 45.
