Albion spikers best Batavia

Albion posted a straight set 25-17, 25-19, 26-24 victory over host Batavia this evening in a season opening non league volleyball match.

The Purple Eagles attack included Kelsee Soule with 11 spiking kills, 7 digs and 2 aces; Chanyce Powell 11 kills, 3 digs and 3 blocks; Meghan Hurley 3 kills, 2 aces and 16 assists; Kassidy Hastings 6 digs, 3 aces and 6 assists; Ashlee Bocach 7 digs and Emilie Barleben 1 kill, 2 assists and 1 ace.

In another non league match, Medina dropped a 25-7, 25-17, 25-16 decision at Byron-Bergen.

Emily Kams had 7 assists and 2 aces, Molley Gross 2 kills and 1 ace and Alyssa Beyer 3 kills for the Mustangs.

For Byron-Bergen, Lauren Burke had 17 assists, 5 aces and 3 kills, Anna Levchuk 6 aces and 3 kills, Bryanna D’Agostino 10 kills and 9 digs and Cora Ivison 5 kills and 5 aces.
