Albion senior earns All WNY and All State soccer honors
Kendall senior is All Greater Rochester honoree
Albion High senior Mariah Elsenheimer has earned second team All-Western New York and third team Class B All-State soccer honors.
A four year varsity starter, Elsenheimer scored 15 goals and added 5 assists this season despite shifting from a midfield to a defensive position part way through the season to help shore up that unit.
A two-time first team Niagara-Orleans League honoree, she finishes with career totals of 70 goals and 29 assists.
Kendall High senior Maya Rutland has been named to the second team of the All Greater Rochester soccer squad.
A three year varsity starter, she led Kendall this season with 29 goals and added 7 assists.
Named G-R Player of the Year this season, she finishes with career totals of 73 goals and 22 assists.
N-O League and Section VI Class B champion Wilson had two players, midfielder Kayla Neumann and goalie Emily Kelly, earn first team Class B All-State honors as defender Zipporah Barrett received fifth team honors. Neumann also earned second team All-WNY honors.
Neumann had 26 goals and 11 assists this season while Kelly had a 1.031 goals against average as the duo helped lead Wilson to the state championship game where the Lakewomen dropped a 2-0 decision to Schalmont.
N-O boys soccer champion Newfane placed two players, senior forward Chad Gilson and sophomore midfielder Trevor Moreland, on the first team of the All-WNY small schools squad. Gilson scored 23 and Moreland 16 this past season for the Panthers.
