Albion scores two wins over Pembroke

Albion won two of three games against Pembroke Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) competition.

Beginner Division

Albion 21 Pembroke 7

Lincoln Voorhes led the Albion attack with 83 yards, Camden Holt 80 yards and Jayce Torres added 25.  All 3 scored a touchdown on the day.

On defense,  Voorhes and Torres had 4 tackles and Holt had 3.

Mini Diivision

Pembroke 7 Albion 0

Pembroke scored on a long TD in the third ended up being the only score of the day.  On offense for Albion,  Heyden Almonte had 82 yards on the ground and Matthew Schomske had 12.

The Mini Eagles defense was led by Landyn Galligan had 10 tackles, Schomske 4, Conner Hinkley and Almonte 3 each. Almonte had a interception as well.

JV Division

Albion 12 Pembroke 6

Albion JV Eagles picked up their first win of the year in Pembroke. Rocco Sidari’s 39 yard TD run late in the second quarter proved to be the game winner.

Jonah Elsenheimer had 27 yards on the ground and Drake Schomske 22.  Boe Preston connected with Jack Conn on a 25 yard TD.

Christopher Almonte led the defense with 8 tackles, Elsenheimer 7 and Conn with 4.
