Albion scores two softball road victories
Albion swept to a pair of road victories in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition today as the Purple Eagles first defeated host Barker 15-2 and then downed Newfane 5-1 under the lights at Medina’s Vets Park.
Kendall Derisley, Brylie Hapeman, Ryan Olles and Emani Poole each had two hits in the win over Barker as Albion scored four times in both the first and third innings. Poole drove in a total of three runs.
A three run third inning, which included RBI hits by Aly Knaak and Lexi Wolck, then keyed Albion to the win over Newfane.
Alexis Bentley and Poole also both drove in runs for the Purple Eagles.
Albion is now 3-7, Barker 1-8 and Newfane 0-7.
