Albion scored four wins in youth football

Contributed Photos – LJ Simmons hauls in a catch for Albion during Saturday’s Varsity Division win over Tri Town.

Albion scored a sweep of four games in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) action Saturday, three over Holley and one over Tri Town.

In the game against Holley, Albion won the Beginners Division 19-0, The Mini 37-0 and the JV 27-0. Albion also downed Tri Town 36-0 in the Varsity contest.

Beginner
Albion 19, Holley 0
Jayce Torres continued his dominating year on the ground for Albion with 3 carries for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dominic Westlund had 30 yards rushing as well.

Cayden Farrell led the defense with 6 tackles, Elian Almonte and Zion O’Neal had 4 each and Torres 3.

Mini
Albion 37, Holley 0
Heyden Almonte made the most of the 4 times he touched the ball on Saturday for Albion. On offense he had 2 carries for TD’s and added a interception and fumble return on defense for TD’s. Giovanni LaMartina had a 18 yard TD and Hank Aina added a Mike Alsott style 53 yards TD run.

Connor Hinckley had 6 tackles and a fumble recovery for the Mini Eagles, Landon Farrell a interception and Ethan Olles 3 tackles.

JV
Albion 27, Holley 0
Parker Roberts had 84 yards rushing and 2 TD’s on the day for Albion. Also on the ground, Anthony O’Neal had 67 yards, Edwin Dudley 56 yards, Carter Farrell and Brayden LaMartina each had TD’s.

Colin Smith led the defense with 3 tackles, AJ Sullivan had 2 sacks, Landyn Galligan and Oliver Stoffa each had a sack.

Varsity
Albion 36, Tri Town 0
On the ground, Noah Harrison had 101 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and Elijah Doxey 70 yards with a TD for Albion. Harrison also connected with Hayden Cowley on a TD pass and also caught one from Doxey. LJ Simmons had 37 yards receiving.

Doxey had 5 tackles and Harrison 4 tackles and both had interceptions. Jaxon Lynch, Simmons and Tyriek Johnson added 2 each.
