Albion, Roy-Hart split in N-O track meet

Albion and host Roy-Hart split in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet this afternoon.

Albion won the boys’ meet 86-55 as Ben O’Connor doubled in the 110 Hurdles and Pole Vault, Cencere Lowe in the Long Jump and Triple Jump and Landon Chaffee in the 1600 and 3200.

The Purple Eagles improve to 3-0 while this was the N-O season opener for the Rams.

Roy-Hart won the girls’ meet 109-28 as Julia Miles was a triple winner in the 100 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles and High Jump and Nadia White in the 800, Long Jump and Triple Jump. Amelia Konstanty also doubled in the 1500 and Long Jump as did Sophia Santella in the Pole Vault and Discus for the Lady Rams.

Roy-Hart is now 1-0 and Albion 0-3 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart’s Julia Miles in route to a win in the 100 Hurdles. She also captured the 400 Hurdles and the Long Jump.

Barker vs. Wilson
Barker and Wilson tied 70-70 in an N-O girls’ meet.

Mikala Woock doubled in the 800 and 1500, Keira Dalton in the Shotput and Discus and Emma Evans set a new school record time of 11.18 in the 3000 for Barker.

Maddie Schultz doubled in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles, Marissa Schultz in the Pole Vault and Triple Jump and Addison Elia in the 200 and 400 for Wilson.

Wilson is now 1-0-1 and Barker 1-1-1.

Wilson doubled Barker in the boys’ meet 78-59 as Cash Smith doubled in the 110 Hurdles and 400.

Mason Allee Castro tripled in the 800, 600 and 3200 and JP Mason doubled in the Long Jump and Triple Jump for Barker.
Wilson is now 2-0 and Barker 1-2.

Akron vs. Newfane
Akron downed Newfane 82-58 in an N-O girls’ meet as Sophia Jones doubled in the 100 and 200 and Isabella Jones in the Shotput and Discus.

Brianna Michalak doubled for Newfane in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.

Newfane won the boys’ meet 109-32.
