Albion, Roy-Hart score N-O soccer wins

The Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer title race tightened up considerably this evening as Albion blanked Akron 4-0, Roy-Hart upended front-running Wilson 3-1 and Newfane shutout Medina/Lyndonville 4-0.

Those results leave Wilson at 5-1-1 and just a game ahead of Albion and Newfane, both at 4-2-1. Roy-Hart improves to 3-4 while Akron is 1-4-2 and Medina/Lyndonville 1-5-1.

Spencer Lombard, Tre Yaskulski, Leonel Rosario and Sam Sanchez took turns scoring the goals for Albion which led 3-0 at the half.

Noah Hardy scored 2 goals and Aidan Bligh 1 to lead Roy-Hart to the victory.

Trevor Heschke scored 3 goals and Garrett Gilson had 3 assists to spark Newfane.
