Albion, R-H, Kendall girls post soccer wins

Albion nipped visiting Wilson 2-1 in overtime and Roy-Hart blanked visiting Newfane 5-0 in Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer games this evening.

Abby Scanlan scored both goals for Albion, off assists from Nikki Creasy and Cami London, with the winner coming nine minutes into the first overtime period.

Albion is now 3-1 and Wilson 2-1 in N-O action.

Kara Choate scored four goals to lead the way for Roy-Hart. Kaitlyn Mettler netted the other goal as Nadia White, Choate, Grace Parker and Kaylie Churchill all took turns earning assists.

Reanna Perkins made 3 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Roy-Hart is now 3-0 and Newfane 0-3 in the league.

In Genesee Region League action, Kendall blanked Pembroke 6-0, Alexander nipped Holley 2-1 and Byron-Bergen downed Lyndonville/Medina 7-0 in a game played at Medina’s Vets Park.

Ava Quintern scored 3 goals, Grace Levett 2 and T’Mia Kitchings 1 for Kendall which improves to 3-3-1 overall.

Megan Gates had 2 assists for the Lady Eagles as Alezya Brown and Leann Clay each  had 1.

Alivia Wolf scored Holley’s goal off an assist from Samantha Bates.

Byron-Bergen jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first 8 minutes to key the win over Lyndonville/Medina.

Volleyball

Holley 25-12-25-25, Lyndonville 23-25-23-13

Holley downed visiting Lyndonville in four sets in a G-R volleyball match.

Adriana Botello had 12 aces, 3 kills and 6 assists, Grace McKeon 2 kills and 5 digs, Tia Hoffarth 5 kills and Erin DeFrank 4 kills to lead the way for Holley.

Gracie Johnson, Addy Dillenbeck and Lorelei Dillenbeck each had 6 kills for Lyndonville. Addy Dillenbeck also had 4 aces and Johnson and Karlee Rounds 3 each.,
