Albion, Roy-Hart and Lyndonville score softball victories
Front-running Roy-Hart defeated Akron and Albion downed Barker by the identical score of 6-2 in Niagara-Orleans League softball action this afternoon.
Winning pitcher Reanna Perkins, who struck out 11, and Juliana Buscarino both hit home runs for Roy-Hart as Kaitlin Mettler added a pair of hits.
Roy-Hart is now 6-0 and Akron 3-3.
A 4 run fourth inning, which included hits by Kenzi Hapeman and Janessa Lindsey, highlighted Albion’s win as Leah Pritchard registered 8 strikeouts in the circle.
Lyndonville 7, Alexander 5
Improving to 8-0, Lyndonville trimmed Alexander 7-5 as Addy Dillenbeck had 4 hits and Gracie Johnson 2 at the plate and Haley Shaffer registered 7 strikeouts in the circle.
The Lady Tigers scored 4 runs in the third inning on a two-run single by Lorelei Dillenbeck and RBI singles by Shaffer and Addy Dillenbeck. Singles by Brynn Howell and Johnson ignited that uprising.
Two runs in the fifth inning, on a triple by Ella Lewis and a sacrifice by Shaffer, then provided the margin of victory. A single by Addy Dillenbeck started the uprising.
In other G-R games, Oakfield-Alabama downed Kendall 19-9 and Byron-Bergen defeated Holley 15-0.
