Looking to move into Niagara-Orleans League title contention this season, the Albion tennis squad boasts a sizeable group of seven returnees.

That contingent includes seniors Mark Ames, Joel Slack, Jason Anstey, Jordan Marshall and Jackie Santiago-Garcia along with juniors Leo Bolton and Oliver Beach.

Bolton earned first team N-O All-League honors last spring while Ames was a second team honoree and Anstey an Honorable Mention selection.

The Purple Eagles posted a 7-5 N-O record last spring to finish in a tie for third place with Barker. Akron went undefeated at 12-0 to claim a fifth straight N-O championship while Newfane finished in the runner-up spot at 10-2.

Albion is scheduled to host Newfane in the N-O opener on Wednesday. The other openers will have Akron at Barker and Roy-Hart at Wilson as Medina draws the bye.
