Albion Raptors rally to edge past Cobras
Putting together a late scoring burst the Albion Raptors downed the host Cobras 2-1 Thursday evening in a Rochester District Youth Soccer League U17 Division game.
Trailing 1-0, the Raptors rallied for two goals in the final 15 minutes to claim the win and improve to 3-2 in division play.
Claire Squicciarini pulled Albion even when she scored with 15 minutes to go on a rebound off an initial shot by Abby Scanlan.
Keeping the momentum, the Raptors then scored the game winner shorty after that on a shot by Scanlan off an assist from Aly Knaak.
The Raptors will next compete in the Fairport U17 Tournament this weekend.
