Avenging a recent one run loss, Albion put together a late rally to nip the host Batavia Rockies 12-11 Monday in a Batavia 14U League baseball game.
Albion pulled out the win by scoring twice in the seventh inning on a pair of wild pitches as a walk to Cade Wolcott and a fielders choice play off the bat of Javon Jones set up the opportunity.
Jayden Allport drove in a total of three runs on the evening for Albion which also got strong defensive efforts from Chris Sacco at third base, Austin Narburgh at shortstop and Bobby Dysard at catcher.
Now at 2-4, Albion next faces Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Park in Batavia.
