When the upcoming Niagara-Orleans League swim season gets underway the Albion High pool will be ready with some major upgrades for the facility’s timing and scoring system.

The district recently completed work installing a new electronic timing system and new touch pads.

The new system has included the installation of two new scoreboards. One displays the team scores for both the boys and girls meets. The other larger scoreboard displaces the time and place finish for each lane for a particular event.

The improvements will also include the installation of new swim lanes.

“It really is a complete upgrading of the timing and scoring system,” said Athletic Director Adam Krenning. “It really is a very positive improvement.”
