Albion, Oakfield/Elba split in youth football

Albion blanked Oakfield/Elba 19-0 in the JV Division of the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) Saturday.

A huge day on the ground from Makyell Walker helped Albion stay in a tie for 1st place.  Walker had 236 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on carries of 42, 49 and 91 yards.

On defense Walker, Wesley Olles and Raekwan Riley both had 9 tackles, Jairo Chavez 8 and Kwame Riley 7.  Nate Gibson and William Farnsworth had fumble recoveries.

In the Varsity Division game, Oakfield /Elba downed Albion 45-13.

Shakarion Drisdom had 46 yards rushing and Jacob Hughson 35, also had a 65 yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Albion.  Drisdom also had a TD pass to Sh’kwe Riley.

On defense Aquil Gaffney led the team with 5 tackles.
