Regaining the .500 mark at 3-3, Albion edged past Roy-Hart 8-7 this evening in a Lockport Midget ‘A’ League game at Barre Town Park.

In avenging an early season loss, Albion built up as much as a 7-1 lead after scoring 5 times in the second and 2 more in the third.

Albion’s Isaiah Callicutt connects for a hit.

Two bases loaded walks,  a fielders choice play, an error and an RBI single by Vincent Zona accounted for the second inning tallies after hits by Isaiah Callicutt and Addison Christ and an error had loaded the bases.

An error and a sacrifice by Callicutt then drove in the third inning runs as a triple by Bryce Pritchard set up the threat.  Pritchard also had a pair of doubles on the evening.

However, it was a run in the sixth that proved to be the game winner. Callicutt singled and came home on a passed ball with that tally. Callicutt and Christ both finished with 2 hits.

Roy-Hart did battle back scoring three times with two out in the third on a two-run triple by Donny Voss an a passed ball, once in the sixth on a single by Walker Samanka and twice in the seventh on 2 walks, a single by Charlie Brigham and a passed ball but could not pull even.
