Albion netters down Medina; Holley wins

Scoring straight set wins in all six matches, Albion downed visiting Medina 5 1/2-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match this afternoon.

Carson Bader, Leo Bolton and James Beach all scored singles victories for Albion which improves to 2-1.

The Purple Eagles also got doubles wins from the duos of Clara Bolton – Charley London, Emily Graham – Aiden Miller and Mark Ames – Jordan Marshall.

Medina is now 0-2.

Holley 5, Pembroke 0
Holley blanked Pembroke 5-0 in a Genesee Region League match as the Hawks improve to 2-0.

Cavan Bennage, Cora Bennage and James Tette scored wins in singles competition for the Hawks which also got victories by the doubles teams of Kirsstin Louisse Altholf – Ashanty Gonzalez and Mason Neale – Zander Carpenter.

Akron 4, Barker 1 1/2
A sweep of the three singles matches by Will Chubb, Caleb Suckow and Samantha Niescier keyed defending champion Akron to s 4-1 1/2 win over Barker.

The Tigers also got a win from the first doubles team of Sean Brennan and Sean O’Shaunessey.

Barker got wins from the doubles teams of Kevin Hadsell Jr,-Eddie Cabrera and Levi Hauser-Tommy Harris.

Akron is now 2-0 and Barker 2-1.

In the other N-O match, Newfane (1-0) downed Roy-Hart (0-2) 4 1/2-1.
