Albion Mini Eagles win playoff championship
Contributed Photo – Completing a perfect 10-0 season, the Albion Mini Eagles defeated the Barker-Roy Hart Rams 33-13 in the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) playoff championship game this afternoon at Batavia. Here the Eagles players, cheerleaders and coaches celebrate the victory. Heyden Almonte rushed for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the offense. Giovanni LaMartina rushed for 104 yards and a TD and Connor Hinckley picked up a TD on the ground as well. LaMartina led the defense with 5 tackles as Liam Pearl and Hinckley both had 4 and Colton Moreland and Liam Saporito had 3 each.
