Barre defeated St. Mary’s 18-4, Actives edged Vets 4-2 and Sandstone downed Carlton 12-1 in Albion Midget League action last week as the Rotary vs. Holley game was rained out.
Alex Gibson had 4 hits, including a home run, and Liam Ward and Tyler Gibson 3 hits each for Barre which improves to 6-0. Ward’s hits included a home run.
Zander Meakin and Drew Caldwell split the pitching duties for Barre.
Deyonci Farley had a two-run triple for St. Mary’s.
Anthony Freeman pitched all six innings for Actives.
At the plate, Amari Jones had 2 hits and Caleb Fox an RBI single or Actives.
Thomas Furmanski had 2 hits, including an RBI triple, for Vets.
Patrick Ricker pitched a 1 hitter with 14 strikeouts for Sandstone which is now 5-1 on the season.
Kyle Hughson had 4 hits, Ricker 3 and Bailey Blanchard a two-run homer to lead the Sandstone offense.
