Albion Midget League baseball roundup

In Albion Midget Baseball League action this past week Vets edged Carlton 8-5, Barre defeated Carlton 9-1, Sandstone bested St. Mary’s 7-1, Rotary topped Vets 6-3 and Actives downed Holley 15-2.
Thomas Furmanski had two hits including a home run and three RBIs and Xavier Cornick a double and two RBIs for Vets.
Damien Lattimer had a two run triple for Carlton.
Kyle Pappalardo, Zander Meakin and Alex Gibson shared in pitching Barre to the win. Gibson also hit a home run and Austin Aman a double and three RBIs.
Lattimer had a pair of hits for Carlton.
Pat Ricker hurled a two hitter with 10 strikeouts for Sandstone. At the plate, Kyle Hughson had three hits and three RBIs.
Deyonci Farley had two hits including an RBI triple for St. Mary’s.
Zaire Reid hurled five innings of shutout ball for Rotary with 11 strikeouts. Mike Brewer had two hits including a double with two RBIs.
Bobby Dysard had a bases loaded hit in the sixth inning to score Vets’ three runs.
Caleb Fox hurled three shutout innings and also had three hits including a pair of doubles for Actives. Amari Jones added four hits including two doubles and a home run and Anthony Freeman two hits including an RBI triple.
