Albion, Medina youth football squads both score two wins

Albion and Medina teams both scored a pair of wins Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) regular season ending action.

Mini Division
Albion 31, Roy-Hart 12
Makyell Walker rushed for 220 yards on just 4 carries including touchdown runs of 90, 22, 61 and 47 yards to lead the way for Albion which finished the regular season at 5-3 clinching a playoff berth. He also threw a 40 yard TD pass to Kwame Riley.

Nate Gibson added 29 yards rushing while Kwame Riley and Raekwan Riley each had 19.

On defense, Kwame and Raekwan Riley and Jared Ostrander each had 4 tackles.

JV Division
Albion 46, Roy-Hart 7
Amari Jones rushed for 122 yards including a 38 yard touchdown run, Javon Jones 65 yards rushing including a 38 yard TD carry and Shkwe Riley 34 yards rushing including an 18 yard TD run to spark Albion. Amari Jones also completed TD passes of 11 and 71 yards to Javon Jones. The two also reversed roles as Javon threw and 18 yard TD pass to Amari. Riley also returned an interception 48 yards for a TD.

Defensively, Amari Jones had 8 tackles and Bryden McMurray and Javon Jones 5 each.

Medina Broncos 22, Attica 7
Aidan Pitts ran for 2 touchdowns and Lavonn Guy 1 to set the pace for the Broncos. Two-point conversion passes went from Aiden Paul to Trenton Much and from Much to Hunter Stephens.
Varsity Division
Roy-Hart 33, Albion 22
Anthony Freeman rushed for 176 yards including touchdown carries of 11 and 60 yards and Will Freeman had a 1 yard TD run for Albion. Kyle Woolston and Braxton Zarpentine both added two-point conversions.

On defense, Anthony Freeman had 11 tackles, Jorden Ostrander, Will Freeman, Jahmeek Riley and Jayden Allport 4 each.

Medina Stallions 40, Batavia 0
Brian Fry threw touchdown passes of 7 yards to Tyler Chinn and 10 yards to Emmanual Taylor and also returned a pass interception for a TD. Zachary Blount had a 5 yard touchdown pass to Rashawn Bloom while Iverson Poole ran 10 yards for a TD and Xander Payne 40 yards for a TD. Fry also had a two-loin conversion pass to Joe Cecchini.

On defense, Carson Dusett had 8 tackles and a fumble recovery. Blount and Fry both had 2 interceptions and Poole and Jared Odita 1 each.
