Albion, Medina swimmers split; R-H sweeps

Remaining undefeated at 6-0, Albion posted a 59-35 victory over visiting Medina this morning in a Niagara-Orleans League boys swim meet.

Harrison Brown doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Free and Matt Kovaleski in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke to lead the way for Albion which took first place in all 11 events.

The Purple Eagles also had Ryan Krenning win the 50 Free, Sam Sanchez the 100 Butterfly, Chase Froman the 500 Free and Thomas Furmanski the 100 Backstroke.

Sanchez and Krenning were also members of all three winning relays while Kovaleski and Brown were both on two.

Medina is now 3-3.

Gaining a split on the day, the Medina girls took first place in 10 of 11 events to down Albion 71-22 and improve to 4-2.

Hannah Heil was a double winner in the 50 Free and 100 Free for Medina which also got wins from Margaret Klotzbach (200 Free), Brooklyn Brown (Individual Medley), Corinne Hill (500 Free), Olivia Carter (100 Backstroke) and Grace Cogovan (100 Breaststroke).

Amanda Woodruff and Rebecca Lunden were both on all three winning relays while Carter and Heil were each on two.

Michaela Pantano won the 100 Butterfly for Albion.

Roy-Hart sweeps Barker
The Roy-Hart girls squad stayed undefeated at 6-0 by defeating visiting Barker (1-5) 100-39.

Madison Ohol doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free and Jenna Heiser in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly to set the pace for Roy-Hart.

The Roy-Hart boys team improved to 5-1 by downing Barker 111-54 as Ozzy Moore doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Free, Will Rickard in the 50 Free and 500 Free and Michael Miller in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke.

Ryan Santarsiero doubled for Barker in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke.

Newfane, Akron split

Akron (2-4) defeated Newfane (0-6) 92-72 in an N-O boys meet.

Newfane (3-3) bested Akron (4-2) 91-79 in an N-O girls meet as Lauren Gaughran doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly.
