Albion, Medina net home court wins
Front-running Albion (8-1) defeated visiting Newfane (1-7) 5-1/2 and runner-up Medina (7-2) bested visiting Roy-Hart (0-7) 4-1 1/2 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League tennis matches.
Albion swept the three singles matches as Dyer Benjovsky defeated Jeremy Ribbeck 6-1, 6-1; Josh Metzler shutout Jeff Hamm 6-0, 6-0 and Dan Beam downed Terrell Atkins 6-1, 6-2.
The Purple Eagles also took the first two doubles matches. Kyler McQuillan and Monica Benjovsky defeated Casey Gregoery and Delaney Waik 6-0,6-0 and Cristal Quintana and Mike Stilwell downed Joes Swogier and Nick Kozial 6-4, 6-4.
Newfane took the third doubles as Whitney Atkins and Zach Russell downed Dylan Bader and Matt Kovalwski 6-4, 6-4.
Medina likewise swept the three singles matches as Kristian Snyder defeated Valeria Sillar 6-2, 6-1; Tristan Sanders downed Elliott Spitzer 6-1, 6-0 and Brian Bogan bested Jarod Shepard 6-1, 6-1.
The Mustangs also took the second doubles match as Carson Zagoda and Xion Baes downed Denzel Flowers and Kelsey Eldridge 6-1 6-0.
Roy-Hart took the first doubles as Quinn Moreland and Patrick Sheelar defeated Nick Dieter and Michael Cardone 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
The Rams also won at third doubles as Jon Eggert and Jamie Swick downed Tom Horgan and Austin Owens 6-2, 7-6.
