Albion, Medina bow in N-O track

Newfane swept to a doubleheader victory over host Medina this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet winning the boys’ competition 86-55 and the girls’ 89-48.
Barker likewise swept visiting Albiion winning the boys meet 78-63 and the girls’ 93-43.
The other N-O meet saw Akron and Wilson split. Akron won the girls’ competition 97-44 and Wilson the boys’ 93-48.
Drew Boudeman was a double winner for the Newfane boys in the Long Jump (18-9 1/2) and Triple Jump (39-4 1/2) and Jacob Licht captured both the Shot-put (36-3) and Discus (104-5).
The Panthers also had Al Kramp win the 400 (:55.7), Collin McCabe the 800 (2:06.3) and Sam Aurnhamer the 3200 (10:08.8).
Jalin Cooper was a triple winner for Medina in the 100 (:11.1), 200 (:23.5) and High Jump (5-8) as Connor Miller doubled in the 400 Hurdles (1:07) and Pole Vault (8-6).
The Mustangs also had Trenton Crews win the 110 Hurdles (:17.14) and Dan Heil the 1600 (4:41).
Newfane, whack locks up the N-O title with the win, is 6-0 and Medina 3-2.
Kim Goerss doubled in the 1500 (5:10.1) and 3000 (11:14.7) for the Newfane girls as Lauren Boudeman won the 100 (:13.6), Kaleigh Daniels the 200 (:29.3), Chunco the 400 (1:07.8), Burkhard the 800 (2:37.8) and Melonie Myers the Triple Jump (30-7).

Chelsea Donley doubled in the 100 Hurdles (:18.9) and 400 Hurdles (1:18) for Medina as Je’ne Brown won the Shot-put (26-4). Kati Young the Discus (75-9) and Di’Vere Brown the High Jump (4-6).
Newfane is now 5-1 and Medina 3-2.
Barker vs. Albion
Jack Hopkins doubled for the Barker boys in the 1600 (5:01.1) and 3200 (10:49.6).
The Raiders also had Jake Arnold win the 400 (:55.8), Matt Pestinger the 800 (2:12), Andrew Jenks the 200 (:24.6), Noah DiLorenzo the High Jump (5-4), Noah Rocklein the Discus (111-2 1/2) and Josh Weakland the 400 Hurdles).
Tre Yaskulski doubled in the 100 Hurdles (:17.5) and Triple Jump (39-4 1/4) and Nate Moore in the 100 (:12.5) and Long Jump (19-11) for Albion.
Barker improves to 4-1 and Albion slips to 3-2.
Madison Gancasz doubled in the 100 (:14.2) and Pole Vault (8-0) and Katrina Clare in the 200 (:29.4) and 400 (1:06.9) to lead the Barker girls.
The Lady Raiders also had Natalie Menz win the 200 Hurdles (:19.5), Lydia Dewart the 800 (2:42.3), Gabby Baker the 400 Hurdles (1:16.8), Dakota Leising the High Jump (4-4), Haleigh Mason the Long Jump (14-10), Ciara Gregoire the Triple Jump (32-6 1/2), Shelby Ewald the Shot-put (29-3) and Casey A’Hearn the Discus (99-1 1/2).
For Albion, Emma Mathes won the 1500 (5:39.1) and Alexa Adams the 3000 (13:19).
Barker is now 3-2 and Albion 1-4.
Akron vs. Wilson
Trey Rees doubled in the 800 (2:04.6) and 1600 (5:00.6), Mark Coder in the 110 Hurdles (:18.1) and Pole Vault (12-0) and Josh LiPuma in the Triple Jump (37-2) and Discus (104-5) to led the way for Wilson.
Ethan Martin doubled in the 100 (:11.9) and 400 Hurdles (1:06.4) and Robbie PeQueen in the Long Jump (18-10) and 200 (:23.2) for Akron.
Wilson is now 1-4 and Akron 0-5.
Leah Czechowski doubled in the 100 Hurdles (:16.5) and 200 (:27.4) for Akron.
Wilson had Shea Munnikhuysen double in the Shot-put (32-1 3/4) and Discus (94-7) and Skyler Munnikhuysen in the High Jump (4-10) and Long Jump (15-8 1/2).
Akron improves to 5-0 and Wilson slips to 1-4.
