Medina, Albion bow in N-O softball

Medina dropped a wild 12-11 decision at CSAT in 8 innings and Albion was blanked 11-0 by visiting Akron this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League softball action.

CSAT pushed across a run with two out in the bottom of the eighth on a single to nip Medina.

Emilee Austin had a two-run single and Mallori Wienke two hits, including a triple, for Medina.

CSAT is now 2-0 and Medina 0-1 in N-O competition.

Leading 2-0, Akron broke the game wide open with a big error and walk aided nine run fifth inning scoring burst.

Abby Stone had two hits for Akron.

Andrea Aman and Meghan Hurley both had two hits and Ashlee Bocach, Olivia Prest and Shannon Wells one each for Albion.

Akron is now 1-0 and Albion 0-3.
