Albion, Medina and Barker girls bow

The top three teams in the standings all scored victories as front-running Wilson trimmed Albion 41-32, runner-up Newfane topped Medina 64-31 and third pace Akron downed Barker 37-32 in Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball action this evening.

Bella Lemke scored 17 and Rian Faery 10 for Wilson which led 23-18 at the half and 34-26 after three quarters.

Abby Scanlan took game high honors for Albion with 18.

Jensen McGhee scored a game high 23 to spark Newfane as Allison Clark and Angelina Ditullo both added 9.

Lily Carpenter scored 11 for Medina which trailed 37-17 at the half.

Ella Hill had 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the way for Akron.
