Led by a nucleus of nine returning regulars, the Albion wrestling squad is prepping for the Dec. 4 non league season opener at Kendall.

Seniors Aaron Mulroy, Ed Wolfe, Austin Klein, Dylan Burkhardt, Justyn Haines, Aaron Burnside and Brandon Brown, along with sophomore Jordan Wolcott and freshman Blake Aina anchor the Purple Eagles lineup.

Burnside captured the 132 lb. title at last year’s Niagara-Orleans All-League Tournament while Mulroy placed second at 182 and Wolfe third at 170.

“We’ve got a lot of inexperience on the squad but we’ve got a good core group to work with,” said Coach Keith Piccirilli who has a good sized squad of 38.

Albion, which went 2-4 in N-O dual meets last year, will open the league campaign at home on Dec. 11 against defending champion Akron.
