Albion man, 62, charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing teen
ALBION – An Albion man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old male in the chest in a domestic dispute on Tuesday night.
Isaiah Alexander, 62, of Albion allegedly stabbed a 17-year-old male in the upper chest area. While attempting to prevent further injury to the 17-year-old male, a 20-year-old female suffered a severe laceration to her hand, said David Mogle, Albion police chief.
Alexander has been charged him with one count of attempted murder, two counts of 1st-degree assault, one count of attempted assault in the first degree, and one count of endangering the welfare of child. Additional charges may be forthcoming, Mogle said.
Alexander was remanded to Orleans County Jail on $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.
The Albion Police Department responded to Oak Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park for reports of a stabbing on Tuesday night. The Albion PD was assisted by the New York State Police and Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.
The 17-year-old male is expected to recover but was kept overnight in a hospital for observation, Mogle said. The woman was released last night from the hospital.
