Albion, Kendall squads take spotlight for busy upcoming week of sectional action

It truly looks like this will be the week of the Eagle as Albion and Kendall squads will take center stage for sectional playoff competition in soccer and volleyball.

The No. 10 seed Albion Purple Eagles boys soccer squad, which has already ousted the No. 2 (Bennett) and No. 3 (Medina/Lyndonville) seeds with overtime wins, will challenge top seeded East Aurora for the Section VI Class B1 title on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday,. the top seed Kendall Eagles boys soccer team will face No. 4 Keshequa in the Section V Class C2 semifinals at Spencerport.

On Tuesday, the No. 2 seeded Kendall girls soccer squad will face No. 6 Warsaw in the Section V Class CC semifinals at Caledonia-Mumford.

Also on Tuesday, the No. 2 seed Niagara-Orleans League champion Albion volleyball team will host No. 7 Dunkirk in the Section VI Class B2 quarterfinals.

On the gridiron, Medina visits East Aurora Thursday and Holley will travel to Mynderse but the time and date for that game have not yet been announced.
