All 5 public schools closed today in Orleans County
All 5 school districts in Orleans County – Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina – are closed today, with all school activities cancelled.
There are icy road conditions this morning with a forecast for more snow, with 3 to 7 inches expected during the day.
Other closings
• This evening’s “Finally Friday’s” concert at Lee-Whedon Memorial Library in Medina has been cancelled due to weather conditions. Serendipity Swing has rescheduled for Friday, March 13.
• The Albion and Medina Campus Centers for GCC will be closing at 2 p.m. due to weather. The main campus in Batavia and the other GCC campus centers are still planning to remain open.
• The Father-Daughter Dance at the Ronald L. Sodoma Elementary School in Albion also is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
• The All-County Music Fest won’t practice today but the concert is on schedule for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Lyndonville.
• Christ Church Community Kitchen which is located at 26 South Main St. in Albion will be closed tonight due to the winter storm.
