Albion, Kendall girls post wins

Albion defeated visiting Alexander 10-6 this afternoon in a non league softball game.

Meghan Hurley had 4 hits, including a double, Olivia Prest 2 hits and Isabella Prest a triple for Albion which scored at least 2 runs in four different innings.

Kendall nipped host Wheatland-Chili 9-8 in a Genesee Region League contest.

The Lady Eagles scored the deciding run in the seventh inning as Taylor Kingsbury singled, stole second and third and came home on a passed ball.

Madison Rath and Hannah Evans both had 2 hits on the day for Kendall. Rath and Evans had back-to-back doubles to key a three-run fifth inning scoring burst.

Newfane 13, Lyndonville 8 (8)

Newfane erupted for six runs in the eighth inning to defeat host Lyndonville 13-8 in a non league game.

Olivia Littman had 4 hits and 4 RBIs, Katie Kneeland 2 hits and 2 RBIs and Teagan Volpe a triple for Newfane.

Morgan Hungerford had 3 hits, including a triple, for Lyndonville which also got 2 hits, including a triple, from both Rebekah Hoffee and Haley Wetherbee.

CG Finney 21, Holley 12

Maddy Papaj and Tabby Swift both had 3 hits for Holley in the non league 21-12 loss to CG Finney as Anna Brasted and Bri Barber both added 2.

Papaj’s hits included a double and triple, Brasted’s 2 doubles while Swift and Barber also both had a double.
