Albion JVs top Batavia in youth football

Improving to 3-1 the Albion JV Eagles blanked host Batavia 34-0 Saturday in a Niagara Orleans Football Association JV Division game.

Michael Walker had 100 yards rushing including touchdown runs of 5 and 14 yards and Amari Jones 56 yards rushing including TD carries of 11 and 1 yards. Jacob Hughson also caught s 40 yard TD pass from Amari Jones while Tyler Gibson and Javon Jones both had two-point conversions. Javon Jones had 49 yards receiving and Gibson 31.

On defense, Chris Porter and Amari Jones both made 5 tackles and Javon Jones, Jabari Johnson and William Trembley 4 each. Walker also had a fumble recovery.

Batavia defeated Albion 21-12 in the Mini Division game.

Makyell Walker had 92 yards rushing including a touchdown and Xavier Byrd 22 yards rushing including a TD for the Albion Mini Eagles.

On defense, Destin Brown had 7 tackles, Byrd 6 and DeMare Mathews 5.

Batavia also defeated Albion 25-6 in the Varsity Division game which was a match-up between undefeated teams.

Deyonci Farley scored the touchdown for Albion which is now 3-1.

Defensively, Bryce Kelly had 5 tackles, Mehkyron Drisdom an interception and a fumble recovery and Kyle Woolston a fumble recovery.
