High school football weekend will have Albion at home on Thursday; Medina home on Friday
For the second time in three weeks Albion will kickoff the local high school football weekend with a Thursday night game but this time the Purple Eagles will be at home.
Two weeks ago Albion, which was a bit shorthanded due to several injuries, dropped a 49-7 decision at unbeaten (4-0, 5-0) Maryvale in a B2 Division game.
This week the Purple Eagles (1-3, 2-3) will host winless Lew-Port (0-3, 0-5) at 7 p.m. in another B2 Division contest.
Roy-Hart/Barker will also have a Thursday game as the Bulls (1-2, 2-3) visit Eden (2-2, 3-2) in a C North Division game.
On Friday, defending champion Medina will continue its quest for a fourth straight C North Division title as the undefeated Mustangs (4-0, 5-0) host winless (0-4, 0-5) JFK at 7 p.m.
Medina is currently tied for the C North lead with Newfane (4-0, 5-0) which hosts Cleveland Hill (0-3, 1-4) at 7 p.m. Friday.
In a schedule makers dream division schedule ending matchup, Medina will then visit Newfane next Thursday (October 12) in a title deciding contest,
Holley/Lyndonville will also be playing at 7 p.m. Friday as the Hawks will host Wellsville in an 8 Man Division game under portable lights.
