Albion, Holley booters score league wins

Medina/Lyndonville posts non league victory

Albion nipped visiting Roy-Hart 1-0 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Kendyll Hadick scored the lone goal of the game for the Purple Eagles with 23:28 remaining in the second half off an assist from Nate Scanlan.

Devin Gaylord made several big saves in goal to preserve the Purple Eagles narrow win.

Albion is now 2-3-1 and Roy-Hart 1-5 in N-O action.

Holley 3, Wheatland-Chili 2

Holley rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat visiting Wheatland-Chili 3-2 in a Genesee Region League game.

The Hawks got three straight goals from Gabe Mendoza to erase the deficit and claim the victory to go to 2-2 in the league and 4-3 overall.

Medina/Lyndonville 3, Batavia 0

Medina/Lyndonville blanked host Batavia 3-0 in a non league game.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 2-0 half-time advantage on goals by Nick Hinkson and Colm Cooper, both off assists from Vassilios Bitsas.

Cooper also scored the Mustangs lone second half goal off an assist from Kristian Snyder.

Medina/Lyndonville, which is now 6-1 overall will next host CSAT in a Niagara-Orleans League game at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
