Albion High’s soccer/softball field is getting a new artificial turf surface
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – The second phase of Albion’s major outdoor athletic facilities improvement project is now in the home stretch as the new artificial turf surface is being installed on the soccer/softball field. Workers are shown here working at the center of the field where the Purple Eagles logo is. The field is scheduled to be completed later this spring. The initial phase of the project which included the installation of a new artificial turf surface on the football field and the construction of a new track surface was completed late last summer.
Fittingly for the Purple Eagles school colors the infield portion of the new artificial turf softball field will be purple
