Albion has All-WNY soccer honoree

Albion High senior Emily Blanchard has earned second team All-Western New York soccer honors.

Blanchard, a three time first team Niagara-Orleans All-League honoree, had 18 goals and 11 assists this season for the Purple Eagles.

N-O champion Newfane has placed a total of four players on the All-WNY squad. The Lady Panthers are represented by forward Kayleigh Daniels, midfielder Emily Foltz and defender Makena Carpenter on the second team as defender Kaelan Swogier earned Honorable Mention.

In leading the attack for Newfane, which advanced to the state semifinals, Daniels had 16 goals and 14 assists and Foltz 16 goals and 10 assists as Carpenter chipped in with 7 goals and 3 assists.

Wilson goalie Emily Kelley earned first team All-WNY honors.
