Albion has 6 wins at N-O All-League meet
Photos by Tom Rivers: Luke Bell of Albion throws the shot put today at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League track meet in Wilson. Bell won the shot put event with a throw of 41 feet, 2.75 inches. He was second the discus with a throw of 121 feet, 8 inches.
Albion won six events at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League track meet held at Wilson today.
On the boys side for Albion, Luke Bell won the Shotput (41-2.75) and Cencere Lowe the Long Jump (21-7.75)
For the Purple Eagles on the girls side, Mia Standish won the 400 Hurdles (1:12.0), Jordan Simmons the High Jump (4-10), Sophia Wendt the Triple Jump (32-11) and Madison LeBaron the Pentathlon (1573).
Gordon Young in the High Jump (5-10) was Medina’s lone winner.
Braden Ricker of Roy-Hart reacts after crossing the finish line first in 22.83 in the Boys 200 Meter Dash, just ahead of Hunter Huscher of Albion. Ricker also won the Boys 100 Meter Dash.
Roy-Hart’s Braden Ricker was a double winner in the 100 (:11.38) and 200 (:22.83) and Zach Schultz won the 400 Hurdles (:58.61)
Kylie McOmber also won the girls Long Jump (15-2.5) for Roy-Hart.
The Rams also captured the boys’ 1600 Relay with the foursome of Ricker, Schultz, Tysen McCaa and Eriq Powell and the boys 3200 Relay with the quartet of Schultz, Josiah Rodriguez, Matt VanKeuren and Ronan Klug.
Barker had a trio of winners in Wyatt Payne in the boys Discus (129-7), Jordyn Kinne in the girls 100 Hurdles (:17.82) and Shelby Dauphinee in the girls Steeplechase (8:20.18).
The Akron boys had Quinn O’Malley win the Pentathlon (2953) while the Lady Tigers had Madigan Regan take the 1500 (5:17.37) and Marissa Brege the Discus (102-7).

The Newfane boys had Liam Betteridge double in the 800 (2:04.56) and the 1600 (4:44.18) while Nasir Spencer won the 400 (:52.76) and Jaxon Dembrowski the Pole Vault (12-9).
The Newfane girls had Eden Hillman double in the 3000 (11:24.62) and Pole Vault (8-3) and Stephanie Chunco win the 400 (1:04.10).
Chunco and Hillman were also members of both the winning 1600 and 3200 Relay teams as was Jayde Jerge.
Liam Betteridge of Newfane held off Peyton Wagner of Barker to win the 1600 Meter run. Betteridge was first with 4:44.18, followed by Wagner at 4:44.63.
The Wilson boys had Ryan Hough double in the 110 Hurdles (:16.16) and the Triple Jump (42-10.75), and Jayden Ruble in the 3000 (10:45.18) and the Steeplechase (10.32.8).
Hough also teamed up with Michael Ruble, Aidan Neumann and Keegan Hermann to give the Lakemen a win in the 400 Relay.
The Wilson girls had Savanna Jones double in the 100 (:13.01) and 200 (:26.53) as Addison Elia took the 800 (2.29.11) and Colleen Cliffe the Shotput (30-4.5)
The Wilson girls also won the 400 Relay with the foursome of Isabella Thrush, Marissa Schultz, Elia and Jones.

Jordyn Kinne, center, of Barker won the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles in 17.82 seconds.
Jaxon Dembrowski of Newfane cleared 12 feet, 9 inches to win the Boys Pole Vault.
Savanna Jones of Wilson (center) won the Girls 200 Meter Dash in 26.53, ahead of Aurora Owczarczak of Medina in second and Isabella Thrush of Wilson in third.
