Coming off strong efforts at both the All-League and the sectional meets, senior Madyson Coville will represent Albion at the state cross-country championship meet Saturday at SUNY Canton.

Coville, who placed fourth at the N-O championship meet to earn first team All-League honors, posted a top 10 finish at the Section VI Class C meet race to earn a trip to the state championships.

“This was Madyson’s first year in cross-country and she has done an outstanding job,” said Albion Coach Mark Hryvniak. “Her training has been fantastic. Each race she keeps learning how to race mentally and physically tougher. I couldn’t ask for a better progression with her racing this season. She saved her best races for the last ones receiving first team All-League and qualifying for the state meet. Her goal is to place in the top 30 at the state meet.”

The N-O League will also be represented in the girls competition at the state meet by Akron’s Margo Henley and Newfane’s Kim Goerss.
