Albion gridders compete in 7 on 7 session
Albion High gridders competed in a 7-7 competition at VanDetta Stadium in Batavia on Tuesday against Gates-Chili, Batavia and Elba/Byron-Bergen.
Quarterback Kyle Smith hit several different receivers for scores during the night including Desmond Blackmon, Trey Hart, Lamar Chambers and Kory Reynolds.
Dom DiCureia, Manwell Taylor and Manny Thompson also all had strong defensive sessions.
“I was very surprised at some of the young players we had tonight that made contributions offensively and defensively,” said Albion Coach Gary Parisi. “We need to do these type of sessions to get our timing down.”
The sessions happen every Tuesday and the final one will be next week. No Equipment is used and it is atwo hand touch contest with no contact.
