Over a dozen Albion High linemen have been attending the Greater Rochester Lineman Camp at Aquinas High School this week.
The camp has been held for over 15 years and is being run by Anthony Bianchi who won two state championships at Webster Schroeder High School and is now the athletic director at Aquinas High School which won the 2013 AA state championship.
The Albion players attending include Caleb Pettit, Tyler Kast, Jacob Twardowski, Jake Buzzard, Kirk Ellison, Mike Laine, Hunter Webster, Tanner Ferris, Kory Reynolds, Clayton Stanton, Gary Moore, Dustin Weese and Dylan Moore.
The schools attending the camp are from Section Five such as Aquinas, McQuaid, Wilson, Clyde, Fairport, Brighton, Pittsford and many others.
“Our Kids get a chance to work with some of the best line coaches in the state and compete against some very good competition,” said Albion head Coach Gary Parisi. “Offensive line coaches from Brockport, U of R, St. Lawrence, St. John Fisher and Hobart are giving our kids instruction along with Coach Adam Krenning and Coach Brandon Burris from our staff working side by side with these coaches. The kids are getting better everyday at camp and that’s what is important.”
