Albion gridders attend Greater Rochester Lineman Camp

A number of Albion High football players and coaches are participating in the four-day Greater Rochester Lineamn Camp which is being held this week at Aquinas High School.

The Albion players attending include Kyle Smith, Kirt Ellison, Mike Laine, Jared Hollinger, Tyler Kast, Justin Stritinger, Creed Talevaris, Ben Restivo and Izzy Florentino.

“I can’t be more proud of these guys who have sacrificed their time and money to get better,” said Albion Head Coach Gary Parisi of the Purple Eagles who are taking part in the camp. “It just shows what kind of kids we have in our program.”

The camp is run by Anthony Bianchi who has led Webster Schroeder to two state titles. It emphasizes zone blocking and pass protection techniques as taught by college coaches from Hobart, Brockport State, the University of Rochester, St. Lawrence and St. John Fisher.

Some of the other high schools attending include Aquinas, McQuaid, Fairport, Hilton, Spencerport, Brighton and East Rochester.
