Albion gridders attend combine, clinic

The Albion High football trio of, from left, Mike Laine, Tom Mattison and Kory Reynolds competed in the New York State High School Football Coaches Association Eiite 150 Football Combine this afternoon at Ithaca College. The student/athletes, who were selected from a regional combine, competed in the 40 yard dash, 185 pound bench press and individual football drills ending with a lineman challenge and 7 on 7 time period. Over 20 college coaches from all divisions attended.
Also today Albion quarterback Kyle Smith, throwing at right, attended the Air Elite QB Clinic at Syracuse CBA to work with some of the best QBs and receivers from the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas. “Kyle has competed at this camp for two years and done very well each year,” said Albion head Coach Gary Parisi. “He has committed himself to work as hard for his team as he can to be the best quarterback he can be.”
